Apps to look out for – Face Bender Review

Face Bender - NHIGames LLCApps to look out for is a regular feature where we take a look at an app that may have otherwise gone under your radar, and that may be very well worth a look.

Face Bender

Remember the first time you played Super Mario 64 for the newly released Nintendo 64? The first time you booted it and realised that you could grab Mario’s big floating head and warp it by pulling it in different directions made you see just how powerful the N64 was.

Well, it is strange to have that kind of power in an iPhone, as Face Bender is here to do just that. Well, without Mario anyway, although there is nothing stopping you from just taking a photo of Mario and going to town…

Ok, so there are a few of these apps on the App Store, but I have to say that this is one of the best, simply because of the wide range of accessories and the speed at which the image reacts to your input. It is also nice to play with an app like this that has a decent user interface, as you would be surprised at some of the bad designs out there.

Here you can choose from some preset images, an image from your collection or to just snap a new pic. From there it is all about experimenting and seeing just what you can do, sometimes with hilarious results.

Here are some of the features in the app:

– Warp your images in any direction

– Snap work in progress to lock in work

– Undo your last change

– Add funny noses, glasses, hats, ears, beards, robot parts, tattoos, scars.

– Save images back to camera roll to upload or send

So, as you can see this is a good, fun app that will no doubt provide a lot of entertainment and laughs for the asking price. Good looking, with a nice interface and plenty of options, Face Bender comes recommended for those looking for a touch of light relief.
