Snakes And Ladder World Edition - ibexis

Apps to look out for is a regular feature where we take a look at an app that may have otherwise gone under your radar, and that may be very well worth a look.

Snakes and Ladders World Edition

There are hundreds of games available on the Apple App Store for both the iPhone and its big screen stablemate, the iPad. Many of them are graphically intensive games that are trying to push the boundaries of what is possible on a handheld, touch screen device.

Sometime though, all that can be a bit too much and you just want to play something a little more sedate and laid back, and in steps Snakes and Ladders World Edition. A brand new, updates version of the classic board game, Snakes and Ladders World Edition adds updated visuals and interesting features to the ancient game.

Featuring a great little two player mode, the game takes you around the world as you take on avatars from different countries in a well thought out digital edition of the game.

Here, in the words of the developers, are the games features;

– Engaging Game play

– 5 new Global avatars to choose

– Enhanced Graphics

– Soothing background score

– Interesting Fun facts about the game How the Game Works

– Choose your avatar from the attractive selection.

-Roll the die and move forward the number of squares equal to the cast of the die.

– Hope to land at a square with the base of a ladder

– it takes you hopping to a higher row. And watch out for those snakes

– they take you tumbling down several rows, sometimes even to the start point.

– Next, your opponent dices to face the challenge of snakes and ladders before you get to dice again.

– Enjoy every turn, climbing ladder and dodging snakes till you reach the 100th square of salvation and knock out your opponent.

So, as you can see, this is a great update of the board game and one that is sure to help you while away a few spare hours. With nice, colourful cartoon graphics, a decent soundtrack that suits the mood of the title, Snakes and Ladders: World Edition is a treat for board game fans.

It’s a good little game. But if it was a world edition it should be called snakes&chutes&ladders.
