Something new has changed at Apple’s App Store. A new category, Food and Drink, has been added in fact. It has extracted apps characterized with food and drink that were previously lumped into the Lifestyle category. This helps app shoppers and developers alike to have their apps properly organized.

iOS users can now find cooking, baking, recipe and restaurant apps in this new category. Whether it’s learning how to make it or finding a place that does, there’s over 2,800 iPhone apps and 1,200 iPad apps to browse through already.

Apps like the popular Starbucks, Allrecipes, Epicurious and Urbanspoon are located there, just to name a few. So foodies rejoice! There are definitely apps for that, and they are much easier to find.
