Apps to Look Out For – Self Aware iPhone Review

Self Aware - Dingle LLC Apps to look out for is a regular feature where we take a look at an app that may have gone under your radar, and may in fact be worth a look.

Self Aware

Self Aware is one of the most unique and individual games on the App Store, with true personality and a witty undercurrent that may make it so that you never look at your phone in the same way again!

The game tells the story of an artificial intelligence called STU that has become self aware and has taken over your phone. Along with the help of the Dingle Techie, you must try to regain control of the phone and remove the STU, who is a bit like an evil version of Siri.

The game is clearly inspired by 2001: A Space Odyssey in the character of STU, the interactions with whom are a highlight. You must use your knowledge of the iPhone to find and play through 68 unique puzzles hidden in 25 applications to get the pesky AI to relent.

The puzzles are all of a high quality, and it will take you some time to find and beat them all. They offer up a wide range of play styles, from traditional puzzle games to mini games that play a lot like The Helicopter Game, all in nice bite sized pieces.

The main character is a real highlight, especially the way he tries to annoy you, and when this is combined with a great atmosphere and many mini games to beat, you have a great mix of The Heist and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Good fun, and a steal for 99c.
