Our ‘Apps to look out for’ reviews are quick looks into apps that may well have passed under your radar, but may in fact be worth a look, and possibly even a purchase. Have a peek at today’s app and see if you think it is worth your time and money.

Follow My News

There are many new feed apps available for mobile, but Follow My News aims to do things a little differently. Available for iPhone through the iTunes App Store and also for Android through the Google Play Store, Follow My News should be applauded for trying to do something a little different with news feeds.

The app has deep social roots, and you can log into Facebook at the start of your experience with the app, which then allows you to follow your favourite user’s news feed, and mix and match as you please.

Here, straight from the developer, are the app’s best features:screen568x568 (15)

●Rate, like, dislike, and comment on all the most popular stories from the Follow My News posters you’re actively following!

●Manage the users whose news feeds you follow and see who’s following you – invite them to chat, add or delete connections with the click of a button!

●Here you can look through an assortment of relevant user’s newspapers to see if their writing about interests you. Like someone’s newspaper topic? Follow them and be in the know every time they update their account with fresh news!

●Find the news you want quicker by filtering searches by news sections like Breaking News, Video feeds, Photos, and more with the click of a button as well. 24 different sections in total.

●Search for users in the Follow My News network by User ID, E-mail address, Location, or Newspaper Name.

●Connect with fellow Follow My News users, reach out, and talk with them in real-time right from within the app via instant chat anytime you want! Get notified of any new messages as soon as you log in.

The app allows you to find and connect with other users of the app, which is an excellent way to broaden your social and news horizons in a simple and easy way. There are video feeds, photos, breaking news and many more different categories of news to filter, which allows you to get to exactly the right kind of news you are looking for.

The app is very easy to use, and quite attractive, and it is very easy to share news stories you find on both Twitter and Facebook. I really liked the way the app turns everything into your own personal, digital newspaper, as it makes browsing the latest news very enjoyable.

Overall, this is a very good little app that allows you to personalise and filter your news in a new and interesting way. The app is free, so I suggest you check it out.

worth a look
