Our ‘Apps to look out for’ reviews are quick looks into apps that may well have passed under your radar, but may in fact be worth a look, and possibly even a purchase. Have a peek at today’s app and see if you think it is worth your time and money.

EventiCal

EventiCal for iPhone and iPad is an interesting and unique events organiser that gives a new perspective to arranging and organising events with and without your friends.

The app allows you to log into Facebook and collaborate with other users of the app by grabbing all of the user’s Facebook and device events and makes them available to everyone on the list. Then, the app geolocates you and lets you know where all the hottest events that are close to you are taking place.

Here, straight from the developer, are the app’s best features:

EventiCal is a fun and creative social events calendar. These events can’t be found in your city guide or even in social networks. We gathered thousands of Facebook events in one app to help you discover what’s happening around you right now and what’s upcoming.
Any FaceBook user can log in. We grab all the user’s and his friends’ events and make them available to all EventiCal users.
All events are sorted by the place where EventiCal geolocated you. Wherever you are – you find the hottest events in town, descriptions, people attending this or that event, comments and locations.
Didn’t find an interesting event? Create your own and invite Facebook friends within the application!

The app also lets you actually create events from within the app and invite friends from Facebook to them. The way that the app makes every event recorded by everyone who logs into the app available to everyone else, friends or not, means that there is always a rich amount of events to peruse.
