Our ‘Apps to look out for’ reviews are quick looks into apps that may well have passed under your radar, but may in fact be worth a look, and possibly even a purchase. Have a peek at today’s app and see if you think it is worth your time and money.

Magnet Boy

Magnet Boy, a universal game designed for both iPhone and iPad, is a decent game with nice physics, a nice fresh look, and plenty of levels to get your teeth into.

The aim of the game is to guide the eponymous Magnet Boy around a set of levels, collecting robot parts as you go, which can then be used to build new robots in a sub-game.

The game is a platformer, with a magnetic twist. Positive and negative charges react differently to Magnet Boy, although you can change whether he is negatively or positively charged on the fly.

Here are the app’s main features:

●One Unique level pack with 20 different levels available for free! Plus 3 more at your finger tips instantly via in-app purchase for 80 total levels!

●A 3 star level rating system that doesn’t just challenge players to find every robot piece but find them as effectively as possible to make each of the 4 robots they re-create fully colored and complete!

●Intuitive gameplay and easy gesture mean Magnet Boy is accessible to every level of player!

●Fun game twists in every pack including portals, dangerous black holes, and more to keep gameplay fresh and exciting!

●Powerful physics engine to ensure Magnet Boy flies, falls, sticks, and bounces just how you expect him too!

●Vibrantly colorful cartoon animations and smoothly animated gameplay

Overall, Magnet Boy is a fun and addictive puzzle platform game that will keep you coming back for more. The graphics and sound are pretty good, and you get 20 levels for free. The magnetism gives the gameplay a unique spin that keeps things fresh.
