Zombie Master - alphaCloud Inc.Our ‘Apps to look out for’ reviews are quick looks into apps that may well have passed under your radar, but may in fact be worth a look, and possibly even a purchase. Have a peek at today’s app and see if you think it is worth your time and money.

Zombie Master

Zombie Master for iPhone is a unique mix of genres that works surprisingly well. As a 3D real time strategy game, it looks a lot like Starcraft, with the ability to harvest and gather mineral, food and gas to supply your units within the game. The action sections are decent fun, and the decisions you take in the strategy sections are very important to how well you will eventually get on in the more intense parts.

There is a nice variety of action parts, with Time Attack, Annihilate Zombie/Boss, Rescue Survivors/Soldiers, Diffuse Bomb and plenty more to play through. It is important to be well prepared for each mission, so you really do have to master both styles.Zombie Master

Here are the game’s main features:

Strategy of StarCraft: Gather mineral, gas and foods to build different buildings, train units and upgrade.
Actions of Gears of War: Customize Machinegun, Sniper, Shotgun, Grenade, Flash bomb and many other firearms to defeat the zombies.
Multiple Missions: Time Attack, Annihilate Zombie/Boss, Rescue Survivors/Soldiers, Diffuse Bomb, etc.

The mix of gameplay works well, and provides a nice sense of variety, and you do get the feeling that you are controlling a group of survivors, on the edge at all times.

The graphics are nice, and I liked the fact that this is a universal app, and will work just as well on iPad as it does on iPhone.

Overall, Zombie Master is a good game, and considering the fact that it is completely free, I see no reason not to give it a blast.
