Call of Duty Elite launches for iPhone

Activision have launched an app for their Call of Duty Elite service. The app is designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch, and although it does work for iPad is has, rather disappointingly not been coded for it.

The app allows you to pug in to most of the main functions of the Call of Duty Elite service, which currently only supports Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. You can check a huge variety of stats, such as your kill/death ratio, recent performance, favourite maps and weapons, as well as check on how your friends are doing.

You can even use the app to mess around with your custom classes and load-outs, and the next time you play the game, the changes will be waiting for you.

Although the Call of Duty Elite service has been met with a lukewarm critical response, if you have signed up to the service and own an iOS device, then this is pretty much an essential free download.

The Android version will be released next week, but you can download the iPhone version form here: iTunes
