E3 Preview: Asphalt 7: Heat iPhone

Yes, in our first E3 feature, Asphalt is back. The acclaimed mobile racing franchise has reached it’s seventh incarnation, and it is a visual treat. With over 150 races spread across 15 tracks, there is a lot to look forward to for Asphalt fans.

Check out our gallery of screenshots to see the detail that really pushes forward the graphics we can expect from our humble iPhone and iPad.

There is online play for up to six players, as well as local play, but the most interesting new addition has to be the stat tracking, which is a social feature that allows you to compare times, achievements and progress with friends, which sounds a lot like a lite version of EA’s famous Autolog feature.

There are 60 real life cars to choose from, and the same boost orientated collection based racing that we have come to expect. Currently only announced for iOS, we are sure it will also come to Android eventually(it has now been confirmed for Android phones and tablets), and maybe even other platforms.

Lets hope it lives up to the hype when we review the game at launch.
