March of Heroes is the latest attempt from Gameloft to emulate the success of Call of Duty on a mobile platform.

No doubt inspired by the continued lack of a ‘proper’ Call of Duty on iOS (Zombies aside), Gameloft, ever determined to carve out new franchises have announced March of Heroes.

The title looks very similar to it’s Modern Combat series, and the main difference appears to be the use of the Unreal Engine to create the graphics for the game.

Helicopters, mounted turrets and run and gun gameplay are the order of the day here, and the Unreal Engine does seem to have added a new level of sheen to the usual gameplay, with the lighting and shadow effects seemingly worthy of praise.

The title will be available for iPhone, iPad and Android, so expect a review soon after release.

In the meantime have a look at the trailer below to whet your appetite for the title.
