Android 7 Nougat is the newest Android operating system for mobile devices. With this latest update, Android users get improved efficiency, functionality, and speed. If you are updating your current device or you’re in the market for a new phone or tablet equipped with Android 7 Nougat, discover some of the following features and developments that Android 7 Nougat offers.

Efficient Notification Alerts

Do you get tired of seeing a long page of separate notifications taking up your phone screen? Previous operating systems would use an individual notification line for every notification, but with the new Bundled Notifications feature, all the notifications from a single app combine into one single line which you can expand if you want more information.

Additionally, a convenient “Clear All” option lets you open notifications to clear your screen easily without having to open several different apps or individually remove notifications from your screen.

Direct Reply Ability

When you need to get back to someone in a hurry, the new Direct Reply feature that Android 7 Nougat offers is fantastic. If you’re notified by a text message or a message from Facebook Messenger, instead of opening up the messaging app, you can send a quick reply directly from the notification. This feature is excellent to use when you are on the go or busy using another application and don’t want to have to close anything or distract yourself from what you were originally doing.

Doze on the Go to Save Battery Life

If you grow tired of your phone’s battery draining too quickly, even when you aren’t using it, you’ll love the new Doze on the Go feature. When you enable this feature, your phone enters a low-energy use mode when you aren’t actively using it. Whether it’s sitting on your nightstand or tucked away in your purse or backpack, you can make sure your phone is running at peak efficiency to save battery usage.

Data Saver Functionality

The new OS offers a Data Saver setting, which allows users to make the most of their smartphones such as the LG V20 on a 4G LTE network, such as T-Mobile, with the Data Saver setting. When you enable this feature, apps running in the background won’t be able to access your data. For users with an unlimited data plan, such as those using T-Mobile’s Unlimited Network, saving data will cut down on battery usage, too.

While this adjustment means that apps such as games and social media won’t update when they are not in active use, they also won’t waste your data, which can save you money on your cell phone bill. For the apps you want to continually update, you can adjust your settings to keep certain apps using data even when you activate Data Saver.

Easy Multitasking

If you are scrolling through your email and need to reference information in your Google Drive, Android 7 Nougat makes this task convenient. Instead of having to exit one app to go into another one, you can now double-tap your home button and toggle back and forth with ease. Whether you are gaming, using social media, or checking stocks on a financial app, you can easily go from one to another efficiently.

Multi-Window Functionality

With this OS, you finally get the option to not only keep two windows open at the same time, but also use a drag-and-drop capability. This feature makes cutting and pasting or sharing pictures and images a fast, easy process. Even working with one application while using another has some great benefits.

New Emojis

Using emojis is a fun way to communicate, but in earlier operating systems, users had a limited emoji library. Now, with more than 1,500 emojis available, you can easily use the perfect one to express your mood. You can find updated skin tones, and users can choose the gender they want for different career and activity emojis such as playing sports.

The new Android 7 Nougat Operating System provides speed and efficiency while making major improvements to functionality. This technology update is perfect for people using their smartphones for business, entertainment, or a combination of both.
