Warplanes: A History of Aerial Combat Launches

Gameloft have announced the release of their second foray into the book app market, Warplanes: A History of Aerial Combat.

The app is currently only available for iPad, and we would be surprised if it ever made it’s way to the smaller screened iPhone.

Following the success of the first release, War in the Pacific, this app looks like it sticks to the same basic format, and seems to be an interesting release for war and warplane buffs. Like the first book, this is a fully interactive release, and features models of 43 planes all with detailed schematics, blueprints and videos.

The quality of the images and 3D models is excellent, and with all the extras included in the app make for a worthy download for flight fans.

If this sounds right up your street, you can download the app from iTunes here: iTunes Link
