ClipOtize, available for iPhone and iPad through the Apple iTunes App Store, offers an interesting take on social photo editing and sharing that is warmhearted and intelligent.

At its most basic level, ClipOtize simply splices a clip rom a chosen music track with a photo or video and allows you to share it with your friends and family. Now, this may seem a little bit trite, perhaps a feature that nobody needed, but in practice it is actually quite affecting.clipotize

The combination of a music track alongside a memorable image can really bring out an emotional response from people that a simple photo could never achieve.

The app goes even further than that, as you can even add your voice and some text to the finished picture, meaning that a whole host of creative possibilities are unlocked.

Here, straight from the developer, are some of the app’s best features:

• Adding a voice recorded message in addition to music

• Editing previously saved clips

• In-app sharing via Airdrop and other social media sources

• Using in-app camera to take photos or video• Creating clips using videos

The app is easy to use, which makes navigating and putting your creations together a cinch. Everything flows together really well, and the app has a nice premium feel to it, even though it is a free app(with an optional IAP).

The developers claim that the app is a  ‘fresh new way to communicate using music, photos and videos’, and I have to agree with them. The clips I shared online got far more of a reaction from friends than the original photos ever did, so if you are a social junkie hunting for ‘likes’, then this app will be right up your street.

An interesting and intelligent idea is executed perfectly in ClipOtize. A free app that is essential to anyone looking to add that something extra to their photo memories.
