We may as well get this out-of-the-way: if you have an Android device and like to make lists, then just buy ListOut right now, it is as simple as that. Now we can get on with the rest of the review.
ListOut, available for Android through the Google Play store, is the list making app I have always wanted. Simple, clean but with just the right amount of features for my needs. Yes, there are mega apps like Evernote that come with thousands of features, but in my opinion apps for taking notes should not be as bloated and difficult to navigate as those.
ListOut is a Task and Notes organizer. Helping you boost your productivity and creativity by taking down and organizing your Shopping lists, Christmas Gifts, Jobs to be done around the house and workplace and using Notes to hold your thoughts and creative ideas.
Taking notes and making lists should be natural, easy and quick. Many of the note taking apps these days are more like word processors, and have long since become more and more of a chore to use.
ListOut is gorgeous to look at, with an inspired design that doesn’t over complicate things or add clutter. I need the app to create lists and notes and that is all I need it to do. You create a new task, name it if you want to, and the app creates a lovely speech bubble-style design that is very easy on the eye. It feels natural to view lists and notes later on, as it has the same feel as viewing text messages.
The app comes packed with a few different themes to use, all of which are unique and intelligently created with a clever use of colour. I would like the developer to add some more themes, however.
ListOut isn’t free, but at only 50p here in the UK, it is hard to argue with the price, and I would heartily recommend this to anyone who wants a simple note and list taking app that works. Now, how about a version for iOS?
