iCrack - The safest way to crack your screen! - AllappsApps to look out for is a regular feature where we take a quick look at an app that may otherwise have gone under your radar, and that may very well be worth a look.

There are plenty of trick and joke apps on the App Store, but when you really want to wind up your friends, what one to choose? iCrack is unique in that it actually has a few clever features that make it stand out from the crowd of gag apps in the store.

First of all, obviously the app creates a crack on the screen, but the great thing here is that the crack can get progressively larger as you watch, making the whole thing seem far more realistic. Add some cool sound effects and you have an app that can provide plenty of opportunities for getting one over anyone.

You can set the crack to respond to the touch screen or even when shaken – allowing you to pretend you have dropped your iPhone. There is even a timer, which gives a lot of potential for making friends believe they have damaged your phone after you have handed it to them.

Two separate crack effects are available, a single crack as well as the previously mentioned progressive crack, and the app even lets you upload your real home screen to add to the illusion.

The graphics on the crack are actually pretty good and realistic, and it is good to see a developer put effort into a release such as this. The sound effects are decent too.

One of the best joke apps on the App Store, so if you are into teasing your friends, then you should pick this up.

iCrack is currently $0.99 in the App Store.
