Rodeo Games, the developers behind the best-selling turn based strategy game, Hunters have let us know that a sequel to the massive game is deep in development and is scheduled for a Spring 2012 release for iPhone and iPad.
The original game was a big hit, and was downloaded over 600,000 times. One of the main things that fans of the first title felt was missing was a story based campaign mode, well fear not as that is one of the big new features of the new game. The campaign will follow the tale of Caius Black, a new ‘Hero’ class character through a series of missions. This is a potentially great addition, and will hopefully lend the series a new sense of depth that was only really touched on in the first game.
Rodeo have used a brand new graphics engine, and the early results look good as you can tell from the shots we have, but there will be a boatload of new features, such as new races, environments, equipment and missions.
We will have a full preview of this in January, when Rodeo send us a playable build so we can share more impressions then, but in the meantime, the original Hunters: Episode One has been slashed in price to just 69p/99c to celebrate the news, but only for this weekend, so be quick and grab it now from the link below!
