Mobile operating systems like Android and iOS are a great way of getting news and information quickly and easily, with their natural communication abilities and easy to use touch screen interfaces very well suited for scrolling through new stories.

However, there are not many apps that really take advantage of the smartphone format and give you a bit more than you can find in the average news article on a website. DEEP, available for iPhone and iPad through the Apple iTunes App Store, bucks this trend and offers fans of celebrity culture and news a way to get to the facts behind the stories.deep

Yes, DEEP does gives you all the latest celebrity news and gossip, but it has many fascinating features that really go beyond that. Here, straight from the developer, are the app’s best features:

* Beyond the News dives deeper into the backstories beyond celebrity headlines into hot stories and Hollywood buzz such as celebrity baby births, weight gain, marriages and divorces, breakups, and more!
* New Releases and Upcoming Movies highlight the latest box office releases to hit the big screen.
* TV Shows Spotlight keeps you up-to-date for home viewing.
* Who’s What, Crazy Connections, and Celebs Like Me offer interactive searches for connections between celebs.
* Visual Story Telling – Life Path, Love Life, Buzz-Line, Red Carpet Events, and more.

The celebrity connections feature is a great addition, and allows fans to see previously unknown links between stars. This is just one of several search options that feel a bit more interactive than the standard search, and giver you far more insight into the lives of the rich and famous.

I am sure that anyone who is addicted to the current culture of celebrity will find this app offers excellent insight that they just won’t be able to find elsewhere, all with a naturally visual feel to proceedings.

The visual story telling is both unique and intelligent, and goes along with the intuitive interfaces and design found elsewhere within the app. Overall, if you love celebrity news and culture, then DEEP is a great app that gives you far more than just about any other celebrity app out there.
