iOS 6 finally went live today, and in came all the goodies that have been promised since way back in June. Except for a few minor hiccups, most seemed to download the update with no problem. The most frequent problem reported was a bug with the WiFi setting, though it seems that this has already been fixed. I myself must say it was the easiest Apple update I have installed and have had no problems with it so far.
For those of you who need a bit of help getting started, the new software update is available either connecting to iTunes on your computer or wirelessly through the phones settings (Settings> General> Software Update). The new operating system is available for iPhone 3GS or later, iPod Touch 4 and later, and iPad.
Some of the new features to come are Facebook integration, Passbook app, Maps app and additional Siri abilities. A few of these are specific to particular devices. To see what comes with your iPhone, here is a great cheat sheet I found at TechCrunch:
