The game will launch as a freemium title, although no word as to what you initially get for free has been heard, we would imagine that you get a couple of courses at the least before you have to pay. There will be an Android version at some point.
The game seems to have a big focus on customising your character, with thousands of different items to use. Online and local play are included, and there is a great sounding challenge mode where you can compete against people even when they are not online.
The courses range from the ordinary to the extraordinary with some underwater and even martian fairways.
Hopefully, all this content will be supported by decent gameplay and will continue Gameloft’s sensible use of the freemium model.
Check out the trailer below, and expect out review to hit just after the game launches on August 11th.
