For busy households, mealtime can be such a chore. That is why it is so important to be organized. Though it isn’t as easy as it sounds. That is where the Recipe Calendar app comes in. Here is some of the app’s description from the App Store:

Meal Planner that saves you time while keeping your diet healthy and diverse. Recipe Calendar simplifies the life of any home cook, no matter how often you visit the kitchen.

• Meal planning and organized grocery lists
• More than 5000 recipes, numerous preferences to select meals

Recipe Calendar is easy to use: choose or create a meal plan, use a grocery list to buy products, and cook your meals by following the step-by-step directions. You’ll love our delicious, carefully planned meals! Whether you’re just in the mood for a special dinner, or you are looking to improve the overall quality of your diet — with healthy choices that taste amazing — Recipe Calendar will be your map to guide you through the kitchen and your health.

Recipe Calendar is a meal planner app that is here to help users plan out their whole week. Users can add their diet preferences or start with ready-made meal plans. The grocery list is made for you so all you need to do is go to the grocery store. The app includes thousands of recipes which include nutritional facts, images, and even cooking timers.

New users to Recipe Calendar can sign-up through Facebook, Google, or with an email address. Setup the start settings to days of the week and/or weekends and how recipes should be scaled. Adjust for the number of people to prepare for up to six. If there are allergies or other accommodations that are needed, preferences can be adjusted accordingly. The app has more than ten thousand recipes to choose from with simple, dietary, vegetarian, and more. There is even a function for creating your very own recipe.

I found Recipe Calendar easy to use. I loved the variety of meals to choose from and the customization there was. I found the meals I planned for the week didn’t just encompass dinner, but all three meals all week long, including an afternoon snack! The app walked me through step-by-step as I planned and helped me set helpful reminders. I could handpick each meal each day, or just pick a premade meal plan and everything was added to my shopping list, ready to go. The navigation made things simple to find, which is great as the number of recipes was overwhelming.

Recipe Calendar is free, though some of the features mentioned are only available with their Pro version. The Pro version includes the ability to search recipes according to preference as well as adding a time to cook and a price per portion option when planning your meals for the week. Monthly subscriptions are only $5.99 monthly, though you can save more if subscribed quarterly or yearly.

Recipe Calendar is a great tool for anyone needing dietary organization, or simply a better way to shop for those meals they already plan. The app is available now in the App Store for free.

  1. On iPhone, tapping into a recipe brings up only an ingredient list at first, where you can quickly add things to your shopping list. You have to then tap Show Full Recipe to reach the recipe itself, an extra step that again demonstrates AnyList s greater focus on groceries.
