Herocraft have informed us that a sequel to their hit iOS game, Gibbets is in the works and is scheduled for a Q2 release next year.
The original game was downloaded over 1.5 million times on the App Store and appeared in the top-selling lists for the platform. The game plays like a darker version of Angry Birds, with you having to shoot a bow and arrow to save people from being hanged. It is a bit like a digital version of Robin Hood.
The game may be controversial for some, but we think it is just cartoony arcade fun. The skill in the game comes from shooting on the move and also to avoid hitting the poor souls you are trying to save. Check out the screenshots below, taken from the flash version of the game.
The title is slated for release for iOS, Android and other formats next year.
