Video editing software is something just about anyone can use these days. With everyone having a video camera in their pocket, the need to to manage all of that digital footage is a must. Whether it be for personal or professional use, a good video manager is a must have. Wondershare’s Video Converter Ultimate brings users all the features a professional editor could want without needing the expertise to operate it.

With Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate, all the tools for video downloading, editing, converting and more are within one easy to use program. Built for the YouTube generation this software has everything one would need to manage video for a channel or any internet media. With options to convert video formats like MP4 and compress video size, download videos straight from YouTube, or any url for that matter, it is great for quick and easy editing and compression. Some excellent features I noticed in the Download section included a recording video button for desktop recording as well as voiceover function, great for a YouTube video or even creating that family vacation video.

The interface is pleasant to look at and easy to use. The dark mode look is something I much prefer and is much easier on the eyes. I especially like the option to drag and drop files to the main screen which gives the user more control of files selected especially if they are in different locations. Once the file you want to use is loaded, the options for editing and optimizing are endless. Keep the file in its current state or convert it into one of eight other files options. Trim clips, add or change audio and even add subtitles if you wish. Once edited to your liking, burn to DVD or transfer to iOS, Android or another external device. The Tool Box in Windows also includes Fix Video Metadata, VR Converter, Video Compress, Cast to TV, Screen Recorder and GIF Maker, as if everything else included wasn’t enough.

Wondershare Video Converter Ultimate is free to download from their website available for Windows and Mac platforms. Though the free download is a trial version that comes with limitations, the full version can be unlocked with the purchase of a license. With the full version of the software unlocked, all of the functions to convert, download, burn, and transfer videos are available. The amount of options available with the license I feel is well worth it, and less than you’d pay for most professional software of this type. Plus with the free trial, you get to try before you buy, so you really have nothing to lose.
